Internet Considerations
With the widespread use of the internet by students, the applications for therapy have changed. Many students are active on social networking sites and want to maintain contact via text, cell phone, Twitter or Facebook. What are your thoughts about conducting therapy via the internet? How would you approach a student who either tried to friend you on Facebook, text with you or wanted to tweet with you on Twitter? Should students and therapists communicate via social networking sites or via Skype? What are the ethical considerations involved in online therapy and counseling? Paper must be 4-5 pages and include two peer reviewed resources (not more than 5 years old) from our online library to support your view.
