Current Information and Communication Technologies

Current Information and Communication Technologies With so much attention focused on health care reform, it is important that nurses be given the opportunity to use high-quality technology tools. These tools can increase access to vital medical information, promote effective communication among health care professionals, and improve the patient experience. By actively seeking out and adopting these tools, nurses can greatly enhance the quality and safety of care that they provide. This Discussion focuses on identifying quality technology tools that increase the ability of nurses to provide safe, effective care. To prepare: Review the various technology tools described in this week’s Learning Resources. Identify a recently adopted information, education, or communication technology tool in your specialty area. Reflect on how it is used and how its use impacts the quality of care. Consider how your identified technology tool might impact nursing practice if it were more widely used. What are some barriers preventing increased usage? How could wider implementation be facilitated? By Day 3 Post a description of a current or new information, education, or communication technology tool that is being used in your specialty area and assess its impact on the quality of care. Highlight the effect that increased use of this technology would have on nursing practice and discuss the barriers that are slowing or hindering its adoption. Summarize how adoption of the technology tool could be facilitated. Read a selection of your colleagues’ responses. By Day 6 Respond to at least two of your colleagues on two different days using one or more of the following approaches: Ask a probing question, substantiated with additional background information, evidence or research. Share an insight from having read your colleagues’ postings, synthesizing the information to provide new perspectives. Offer and support an alternative perspective using readings from the classroom or from your own research in the Walden Library. Validate an idea with your own experience and additional research. Make a suggestion based on additional evidence drawn from readings or after synthesizing multiple postings. Expand on your colleagues’ postings by providing additional insights or contrasting perspectives based on readings and evidence.

Last tutor I think only completed maybe half of the assignment, and I am not sure if its even right. You can add to his paper or completely start over your choice. DO NOT BID IF YOUR GOING TO SLACK OFF..

Requirements: Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. Use the Turnitin Originality Report available in Taskstream as a guide for this measure of originality.

The rubric provides detailed criteria for evaluating your submission. You are expected to use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.

Note: Research evidence must not be more than ten years old.

A. Evaluate a primary quantitative research peer-reviewed journal article (suggested length of 3–5 pages) that has healthcare implications by doing the following:

1. Identify how the researcher addresses the five following areas of the selected journal article, using the attached “Evidence Table”:

• background or introduction

• review of the literature

• discussion of methodology

• data analysis

• researcher’s conclusion

2. Critique whether the evidence presented in each section of the journal article supports the researcher’s conclusion.

3. Explain the protection of human subjects and cultural considerations of the journal article.

Explain the pathological processes associated with the term “heart muscle died.”Mr. Smith was lifting a heavy piece of furniture when he experienced crushing pain in his chest, began sweating heavily, and was nauseated.

Explain the pathological processes associated with the term “heart muscle died.”Mr. Smith was lifting a heavy piece of furniture when he experienced crushing pain in his chest, began sweating heavily, and was nauseated.

His wife drove him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a myocardial infarction (MI, also called a heart attack) and given intravenous drugs to dissolve a clot that was obstructing a major coronary artery. After his hospitalization, Mr. Smith’s doctor told him that some of his heart muscle had died.

Explain the pathological processes associated with the term “heart muscle died.”

Discuss and contrast reversible and nonreversible cell injury. As per your analysis, what type of cell injury did Mr. Smith sustain and why? Include pathophysiological processes involved with cell injury.
