QUESTIONS BY THE PROFESSOR THAT NEED TO BE ANSWERED:

Nurses can contribute to the policies and procedures that are created based on the nursing tasks we do. Being that nurses are at the bedside 24/7/365 days a year, nurses are at the forefront of clinical care.

Nurses see what works, what doesn’t and what can be done better. Using this information, implementing practices, in addition to quality Evidence Based Practice (EBP) research nurses can make a safer environment and level of care for our patients.

Organizations need to allow time for nurses to implement EBP! (Keep in mind that I work as a Correctional Nurse that is employed by the largest Jail System in the United States of America, which is the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Medical Services Bureau.)

Overview

Write 3–4 pages describing the effective use of patient-care technologies, communication systems, and information systems across the care continuum of a health care system of your choice. Add a one-page executive summary your organization could use to disseminate these ideas.

Because a lack of knowledge when using technology can lead to errors in patient care, effective use of technology in health care is paramount to providing a safe health care delivery environment.

Telehealth care (THC) is a subfield within telemedicine. It involves the delivery of healthcare services to patients at home through the use of telecommunications technologies, which enable the interaction of voice, video, and health-related data.

Day Hospital a special facility, or an arrangement within a hospital setting, that enables the patient to come to the hospital for treatment during the day and return home or to another facility at night.

Using the rubric below as your guide, define the structure, financing mechanisms, and access to care for these 2 new and innovative healthcare alternatives (Telehealth Care and “DAY” Hospitals).

A shortcut to this topic is: “Considering positive psychology’s aim to enhance human flourishing worldwide, how can the field make a significant impact on promoting healthy environments and institutions?” We want you to think big and dream, using empirically-based constructs of positive psychology to support your vision.
