Nursing theorist video analysis/reflection

Nursing theorist video analysis/reflection

Question descriptionThis week, you will complete another nursing theorist video analysis/reflection of one of the nursing theorist videos provided in the course. We highly recommend that you watch as many of these videos as you can throughout the course. This is a great opportunity for you to see and hear directly from the actual theorists that you are reading about in the text. Click on the Nursing Theorist Video Link in the main menu on the left to see the collection of videos.
After watching one of the theorist videos, reflect about what you have learned.
Compose a paper that addresses the following:

  1. Explain why you chose to watch this particular theorist’s video.
  2. Describe the parts of your personal philosophy where you agree or disagree with this theorist.
  3. Is there anything that surprised you in the video? If so, what surprised you?
  4. Would you recommend this video to another student? If so, why would you recommend it?
  5. What value did you receive from watching it?

Your paper should be 2–3 pages in length, in APA format, typed in Times New Roman with 12-point font, and double-spaced with 1″ margins. If outside sources are used, they must be cited appropriately.

Question description12 pages research paper, see attached file for detail information, the style of the research paper should be APA form , and you choose one topic within the paper requirement listed
Psychology 334 Paper Requirements Winter, 2018
The paper will be a review of research in a specific area of cognitive psychology. The main purpose of the paper is for
you to learn about a topic in more depth than is possible in class. In the paper you should:
1. Define and introduce the research area. You can do this in (almost) any way that you would like. You should not
discuss anecdotes or personal experiences. Do not preview or briefly summarize articles in this section. Some issues that
you might address include:
– What is the research about?
– What is the history of the research area?
– Are there certain terms that the researchers use? If so, explain them.
– Are there issues that researchers disagree about?
– All information in this section must come from published sources???
2. Discuss and summarize some of the specific research: discuss what the researchers did and found. This research
review will make up the majority of the paper. You must include enough detail about the experiments so that they are
understandable. For example,
– What were the different conditions/ groups?
– Define terms (e.g., don’t mention the Abstract Paired Associate Group without explaining what it is).
– What did participants in the different groups do?
– How was behavior measured?/ What kind of test did participants take?
– What were the results/ findings? Include numbers (e.g., participants recalled 75% of the words in the different context
condition and 42% of the words in the same context condition). However, do not include statistical information such as
the type of statistical test performed or statistical values such as F or t .
– Use past tense when discussing research that was done.
– Do not include article titles when you discuss research.
3. Integrate, evaluate, tie things together.
– You should do more than simply summarize the research findings. If you include a summary it should be brief.
– What conclusions can you make? Provide a critical evaluation of the research if you can (these ideas don’t necessarily
have to be your own).
– What are the implications of the research?
– Are there issues that future research should address?
– The conclusion should be at least three pages
– The conclusion belongs at the end of the paper.
– Remember that when you refer to research in the conclusion, you must include references.
ALL information that comes from other sources must be referenced. This means everything except for your own opinions
or ideas must be referenced. See the reference handout for instructions.
Below is a list of possible paper topics. Some of the topic areas must be narrowed down further. You are not limited to
the topics on the list. If another topic interests you, let me know. All paper topics must be approved by me (even if the
topic appears on the list). By Jan. 18 you must notify me of your topic by e-mail: Describe your topic very briefly and as
specifically as possible

Question descriptionDetails:
Revise Parts 1 and 2 of your paper (The Previous papers), based on the feedback provided by the “Identify Practice Problem Grading Rubric” and “Apply Middle-Range Nursing Theory Grading Criteria.”
In Part 3 (In NO more than 1000 words), you will apply a borrowed theory to the problem described in the introduction. (Refer to Part I paper)

  1. Describe the theory, starting with a short bio of the theorist along with the major influences that the theorist has contributed.
  2. Describe the concepts and propositions of the theory. Provide an example from the literature as to how the theory has been applied.
  3. Apply the theory to your practice problem, demonstrating the links to the elements of the problem and theory. In addition, make sure to describe how practice would change by incorporating the theory. It should be clear to the reader that this is an appropriate theory for the problem.
  4. Write a conclusion. The conclusion should summarize key points of the paper. Identify the usefulness of applying theory to practice, including both nursing and borrowed theory, and identify problems with the application of the two theories presented in Parts 2 and 3.

Prepare this PAPER according to the APA guidelines 6th edition. An abstract is not required.
This paper uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the paper, therefore, review the rubric prior to beginning to write the to become familiar with the paper criteria and expectations for successful completion of the paper
