  • A description of the health care workforce shortage and its implications.
  • The aspects that need immediate attention and aspects that need long term attention. Provide a rationale on why these aspects need attention.
  • A description of the financial implications for these issues.
  • An explanation of the risks associated with these problems.
  • Your recommendations to solve these problems.

CASE STUDY PANEL PROJECT

Question description
CASE STUDY PANEL PROJECT
Back Ground
You are part of a senior leadership group which operates a Regional

  • Hospital in the Southeastern Region of the United States catering solely to female patients and their healthcare needs.

The senior leadership team consists of: (a) Chief Financial Officer, (b), Chief of Medical Services, (c) Human Resources Manager, (d) Chief Legal / Ethics Officer, (e) Marketing Manager, (f) Chief of Nursing
Services and, (g) Chief Executive Officer
Through a review of the literature, legislation, news reports, and also speaking with colleagues, you have noticed that there has been an increase in the national awareness of prescription opioid-related issues including addiction, incarceration, overdosing, and death. The federal, state, and local governments have become involved in developing policies, and legislation that more tightly regulate the opioid prescription practices of providers. However, the senior leaders of the Regional Hospital have noticed that there has not been recent public commentary on sustainable treatment options or the adverse effects opioids have on unborn fetuses, or what the long-term health effects are on “addiction children”.
Because your facility is not a licensed opioid addiction facility, your providers have referred patients, pregnant or otherwise who abuse opioids, and suffer from opioid addiction to third-party providers, costing your organization a potential source of revenue.
Assignment
Your assignment is to pursue a course of action that will enable the Regional Hospital to begin offering opioid addiction services by January 31, 2020. The senior managers have met to begin formulating plans for adding an opioid addiction medical capability to the services that the Regional Hospital provides.
When articulating your strategy and developing your plan, please consider the following: (a) licensing requirements for such a program, (b) marketing, (c) the financial resources needed, (d) additional human resource requirements, (e) legal considerations, (f) medical requirements, (g) spacing requirements, and (h) nursing requirements.
Part 2
Develop a solution to the case based on what works best for Chief of Medical Services role.
The solution will include:

  • an overall statement of the management challenge presented by the case
  • a statement of the facts of the case
  • a proposal that addresses the challenge and that states what would be best from the perspective of your role
  • a defense of the proposal

PSY 3200 Term Paper (Virtual Person Paper)

PSY 3200 Term Paper (Virtual Person Paper) Suggestions & Examples
To get a good grade on your term paper, you’ll want to follow these suggestions:
1. Throughout the paper, discuss how the 3 domains of development (physical,
cognitive & psychosocial), interact, and how events in at one stage of development
might influence outcomes at later stages.
a. For instance, a paper might describe a child who is born with low birth weight
(physical development in infancy). The paper may then continue to note that
because the parents were aware of the risks of LBW, they took steps to manage
those risks—for instance, perhaps they became highly engaged with the child;
holding him frequently, talking to him, and later reading and playing with the
child (social development in infancy & early childhood). The paper may then
discuss how this social interaction helped the child to develop a larger
vocabulary, which allowed him/her to do well in school (cognitive development
in early and later childhood).
2. Discuss how environment and genes affect development, and how they interact.
a. For instance, a paper might describe a child with a genetic predisposition to
having a difficult temperament, emotional reactivity and aggression. The paper
may describe how as this child ages, he/she seeks out violent video games,
television shows, and activities in which aggression is involved—and seeking out
these environments further strengthens the child’s genetic predisposition to
aggression (this would be an example of an active gene X environment
correlation/interaction).
3. Throughout the paper, be specific in your descriptions, use terms from the textbook
appropriately, and base your descriptions of developmental process on what we’ve
learned in class and from the textbook (and not your own assumptions).
a. For instance, a good paper might do this by describing how a child’s regular
interactions with siblings, peers and others helps them become less egocentric,
and develop theory of mind abilities—which allow the child to experience more
complex emotions such as empathy and guilt. A non-specific paper might simply
say something vague such as “Brian’s social interactions impact his improving
cognitive skills, which allow him to experience more complex emotions.”
On the next page, you’ll see an example of a section from a good term paper. On the third page,
you’ll see an example of how the same sections might have been written in a poor paper.

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and will write a specific about this gene EGFR that causes a disease Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

Term paper

Question descriptionI have to do a term paper for Geneitc class.
I chose this topic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and will write a specific about this gene EGFR that causes a disease Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
So my professor want from me to choose 3 to 4 articles and check it with him So, before you start write, I want you to send to me the articles to make sure my professor agree with the articles.

Notes: Term Paper
For the term paper, you will be expected to write a review paper (5-8 pages) either about a human disease with genetic origins or covering a recent advance in the field of genetics. Specific topics will be chosen in consultation with the instructor. The focus of the paper should be one of the following:
1) The genetic analyses that led to the discovery of the disease gene.
2) The use of genetics to further investigate/understand a disease gene after it was identified (especially those using genetics in other organisms as model systems).
3) Any area of genetics in which there have been recent major advances.
The paper should include a clear and well-organized review of the scientific literature on the topic (most important), plus any criticisms or insights you may have into the work reported in the papers you have chosen to review; and ideas for additional experiments in the area. The papers you discuss must be primary research papers (in other words, not a summary of others’ reviews!). Your paper should be written in standard scientific format, including citations and bibliography in the style required for all courses in the Biology Department. The paper must be your own work, in your own words, and you must give proper references for your sources in the text of the paper. Those who copy others’ work and attempt to pass it off as their own will be dealt with severely.
