Molecules in Food

Topic 2 Molecules in Food
Before preparing your response to this week’s discussion topic please watch this video, a crash course in biological molecules:
Consider reviewing the information about proteins, carbohydrates and fats in the OLI modules.
Pick a type of food that you enjoy. Before you start researching, state a hypothesis about the nutritional content of this food. Remember a hypothesis is an educated guess (and may be wrong), and a good hypothesis is specific.
Then summarize what you learned from your research. Include an image of at least one molecule found in this food and briefly describe that molecule in terms of the atoms it is made of and potentially the chemical bonds that keep the atoms together. Is this a beneficial molecule to consume? Explain why. Did your research support your hypothesis?
Your main response should be a minimum of 150 word

Watch the Parker video.

Working effectively with individuals means building relationships. As a social worker, there are certain qualities, such as empathy, warmth, and genuineness, that help you develop rapport with clients. However, even when you appropriately utilize your micro skills, rapport building can be difficult with some clients. Challenges may include client hostility, silence, a request for self-disclosure, or the necessity of using confrontation. Social workers need to develop skills to appropriately work through these challenges.
For this Discussion, you begin developing these skills through practice and analysis of practice.
To prepare: Watch the Parker video. In the video, the clients express hostility toward each other, as well as toward the social worker. In addition, Stephanie asks the social worker for self-disclosure when she asks, “Wouldn’t you?” and “You really think you can fix that?” The scene ends with the client and social worker falling into silence. Consider the challenges depicted in the video. How would you respond?

Topic 3 Incredible Cells
Please watch this brief video as an introduction to different types of cells: Even though the basic composition of most cells are similar, there are many different types of specialized cells found in various organisms. For this discussion please choose one type of cell to research and describe.Choose one type of cell not yet described by other students (easier the earlier you post!).
Briefly describe the structure and role of your chosen specialized cell. How is this type of cell unique compare to other types of cells? Include an image of your cell in your post.
You main response should be at least 150 words and include references to all information sources used.

Can you complete this
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the SafeAssign plagiarism tool. THE THREAD HAS TO BE 1000 WORDS
Topic: Intellectual Property
This discussion board is largely inspired by material found in your course textbook:
Kubasek, N. K., Browne, M. N., Barkacs, L., Herron, D., & Dhooge, L. (2016). Biblical worldview edition of dynamic business law. N. J. Kippenhan (Ed.). New York, NY: McGraw Hill Education.
Thread Prompt:
Review the Case Opener at the beginning of Chapter 8: Technology Companies at War, as well as this article on a Supreme Court decision in the Samsung/Apple Patent Litigation.
Samsung and Apple continue to fight to protect their rights to their intellectual property, just as any company fights to protect the real, personal, and intellectual property on which its business, revenues, and reputation are based. These same property issues are at stake in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries where patents on medicines, medical devices, cutting-edge genomic therapies, etc. form much of a company’s livelihood.
For this discussion board, respond to the 3 questions in the Business Ethics Flashpoint 8.1 in your text. Your response must explain how you balance the interests at stake, including:
How should a for-profit corporation balance its business needs with the needs of its customers?
Lives depend on products created by some companies. Do these companies have a greater responsibility to work to benefit the consumer more than themselves?
Look at the issue from a Biblical worldview. How would you respond if you were running such a company?
Your thread must explain how you balance the interests at stake including:
Creator v. Consumer in the creation and management of intellectual property
Profit and return on investment for company owners/shareholders
Continuing existence of the company
Protecting intellectual property of the company
Needs of patients, practitioners, and society
Biblical support and guidance for your positions
Any other legal and ethical concepts you believe may be relevant
