Discuss the nature of management, financing, and quality issues related to integration and cooperation in the facilities?

Choose two long-term care facilities—one from nursing facilities, assisted living, or subacute care and another from adult day care, home health care, or hospice care—on which you would want to base your research work. Research Internet to read about your chosen long-term care facilities.

Assume you are responsible for the management and administration of the two facilities. You have to orient the newly appointed manager by providing an overview on managing long-term care. You also need to discuss the programs of the two facilities. From this perspective and based on your research about the facilities, prepare a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation of 10–15 slides including the following:

What are the various multidisciplinary departments (teams) included in your facilities?

Who comprise the target population being served by the various programs provided by your chosen facilities?

What are the major staffing and human resource issues faced by your chosen facilities?

What are the significant trends in long-term care likely to impact the operation of the various programs provided by your chosen facilities, and what is your plan of action to overcome them?

What are the various forms of cooperation and integration existing in your chosen facilities? Discuss the nature of management, financing, and quality issues related to integration and cooperation in the facilities?

Support your responses with examples.

Use the Notes section of the slides to provide additional information.

identify and formulate questions that arise from nursing practice and to design a research project to study the identified problem.

What is a research proposal?

The purpose of the research proposal is to identify and formulate questions that arise from nursing practice and to design a research project to study the identified problem. The goal of a research proposal is to present and justify a research idea you have and to present the practical ways in which you think this research should be conducted. Research proposals contain extensive literature reviews and must provide persuasive evidence that there is a need for the proposed research study. In addition to providing rationale for the proposed research, a proposal describes detailed methodology for conducting the research consistent with requirements of the professional or academic field and a statement on anticipated outcomes and/or benefits derived from the study.

Directions:

You will be required to write a research proposal to be submitted in week 7. This may be either a qualitative or quantitative research proposal. The proposal should be a 6–10 pages plus appendices, cover page, and reference page. In week 8, you will present your proposal to your classmates via video presentation.

This week, you will submit a topic for your research proposal and presentation as well as the research questions you will be utilizing for your proposal and presentation. Your instructor must approve your research questions and topic for your proposal.

Submit your journal assignment and include the following:

  • Research topic for the proposal and presentation
  • Research questions for the proposal and presentation

Note: Once approved, any changes to your topic or research questions should be approved by your instructor.

Determine the barriers to implementation of the solution.

Please make sure that your writers are properly writing the final references of the journals correctly. The last paper the writer did not write the journal reference in the right format. Example, what he/she did was
Markinsin, J. The effects of health on others. Retrieved from http://journal of health management.
THIS IS INCORRECT FORMAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All journals should be written as such:
Markinson, J. (2014). The effects of health on others. The Journal of Health Management, 6(3), p. 101-120.
The writers should know this. Please let me know if anything else is needed. This upcoming assignment is straightforward paper. Let the writers know that at least TWO scholarly nursing journals should be used.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:
As of 2014 health care expenditures in the United States are near 17% of our gross domestic product (GDP), with a major portion of Medicare funding goes towards chronic illness and care at the last 6 months of life. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has made some initial legislative changes in our health system, but not sufficient to address our growing expenditures and caring for our large aging population. In this assignment, learners will synthesize issues in aging with health policy solutions by writing a paper on one health issue for older individuals addressed in the topic and offering a policy solution. Example of issue: In 2014, over 50% of the costs of institutional long-term care for older persons are paid for with public funds from Medicaid.
Directions:
Write a 12000-1500 word paper that addresses a health issue for older individuals. Include the following:
1.Evaluate what the literature suggests as a resolution to your chosen issue.
2.Discuss any attempts to incorporate the solution into public policy.
3.Determine the barriers to implementation of the solution.
4.Analyze the options being discussed for public and/or private funding.
5.Propose your own recommendation.

Explore current literature to increase knowledge of leadership in nursing practice.

Guidelines: Annotated Bibliography

Purpose: Explore current literature (collection of writing on a specific topic) to increase

knowledge of leadership in nursing practice.

The annotated bibliography assignment will help students prepare to design and present a poster presentation regarding nursing leadership in practice. The focus is building student knowledge of various leadership roles in nursing (current trends). The assignment also promotes student reflection on development of their own leadership skills.

Students will read the summary of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) “The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health” for baseline identification of leadership roles (posted in Blackboard).

Students will then search the literature to identify and select five (5) nurse leaders, who will be the topic of the annotated bibliography summaries (students must use credible sources when searching literature).

Students may also choose to submit 2 of the 5 annotated bibliography summaries on the following topics:
