Censorship In Television

Write a 1500 to 1600 ( 1500 word minimum) word persuasive research paper (about six pages) on one of the following topics listed below. Your research must include citations from three peer-reviewed journals. These journals are available in hard copy or the internet. Other than the journals, sources can come from wherever you choose: books, internet, newspapers, film. Also, when establishing narrative viewpoint, use third-person. No first person allowed. Please follow MLA guidelines, including a properly formatted Works Cited page.

This paper is due on Tuesday, March 19th, both a hard-copy and an electronic submission to Turnitin. Remember, Turnitin expires at the start of classnot midnight.

Note: It is important that students carefully read the research and then assimilate that information into the research paper. It is not uncommon for students to list several sources on their Cited Page, but none of these sources appear in their research essay. This will earn students a very low grade.

Research the relationship between television and censorship over the past sixty years. Your thesis may want to consider the following questions: Was censorship more vigorous sixty years ago than today? If so, what cultural factors influenced that censorship? How have those cultural factors changed over six decades?

Hi,

The project we are completing is a communication campaign that incorporates theories we have learned in class about persuasion. The rubric is attached to that shows all required information needed. I also added our group proposal that includes the campaign idea which is ways to stay healthy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The proposal includes the situational analysis and the campaign goals, but they aren’t very detailed so if you could update them and make them sound a little better that would be awesome. I also attached an example of what the teacher expects ours to look like in the end. I appreciate the help and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!!!!

Read Marketing Myopia, an article written in 1960 by Theodore Levitt and published in the Harvard Business Review.  Read, reread, and consider the ideas advanced by the author.  Do you agree?  Disagree?  Are his ideas relevant today?  What are the strengths and weaknesses of his arguments?  The goal of this assignment is for you to critically assess the ideas advanced by the author using your own knowledge and experience to justify your position.

Clarity of argument while having a focused, concise presentation is key to your success in this assignment. The main themes put forward by the author should be addressed, providing a critical analysis of the hypothesis and the data used to support it.

The critique should include an introductory paragraph briefly summarizing the article and a concluding paragraph briefly summarizing the students position on the value/accuracy/relevance of the article. This assignment should draw on materials from the assigned readings and discussion materials, in addition to external materials, your past learnings, and your experiences.

These criteria must be met when submitting your article critique:

Purpose and Description
At some point in your life, whether it be in your professional or personal life, you will be asked to provide an audience with instructions for completing a task. It could be teaching your teenager to drive, showing a substitute what to do when you are gone, or demonstrating how to use software to a group of colleagues. For this assignment, you will select a procedure and create original step-by-step instructions for completing it. Your instructions will be comprehensive, using major and minor steps and plenty of visuals to clearly explain to an audience how to complete the procedure.

The choice of topic for this assignment is up to you, though it should be something that’s relatively inexpensive and straightforward to complete. Some topic ideas include:

A recipe for a complex dish that requires multiple major steps or stages
An art or craft project
A step-by-step walkthrough for a software function or video game
A home improvement or small building project
Etc.
This instructions assignment will provide you the opportunity to:

Practice writing step-by-step instructions for human involvement in a process.
Analyze an audience to determine your rhetorical strategies.
Include effective visuals that partner with the text to provide the reader with effective directions.
Include effective tips, results, and safety information to supplement the action-oriented steps.
Expectations
An effective set of instructions will:

Include at least 5 major steps (each composed of multiple minor steps).
Employ imperative/command mood in the text to create action-oriented steps.
Integrate effective original visuals like photographs, screen captures, diagrams, or illustrations with the textual instructions (at least one visual per major step).
Demonstrate goodwill with the audience and use appropriate grammar, spelling, and mechanics.
Clearly state the audience youre addressing and why. Reflect the audiences needs through your chosen content, organization, style and delivery.
Be carefully designed and submitted as a PDF file.
The assignment rubric also provides detailed evaluation criteria for this assignment. Consult the rubric closely as you’re composing.
