You may choose the topic but please keep in mind that the topic must be used for a research paper following this annotated Bibliography. I have also provided a few resources from my school library. The first stages of the research writing process involve topic selection, formulation of a research question, preliminary research, and the development
of a working thesis statement. Now you will begin identifying and evaluating sources to determine how effectively they can support your argument. If
needed, the “Topic Ideas” web link below can be used for selecting your research topic.
For this task, you will create an annotated bibliography by finding 8-10 sources for your research paper, listing the sources in APA-formatted
references, and providing an annotation for each source. Each annotation should offer a summary of the source, an evaluation of its author’s or
publisher’s credibility, and an assessment of its relevance to your topic.

Prison state film Analysis

In this assignment you are introduced to the three major perspectives (functionalism, conflict, and symbolic interactionism) and how they each
approach the issue of criminal behavior differently. The rubric to complete the assignment includes both the instructions for the film analysis AND a
summary of the theoretical perspectives. You must read the summary of the theoretical analysis before watching the two videos to complete the
assignment appropriately. I believe you will find both videos informative – and you most likely will not need to view Prison State in its entirety to
complete the assignment well. The Adam Ruins Everything – Prison is 4 minutes long and informative.

sentences why you believe this is a good fit for the theory.
Functionalist Perspective – same as above, example: “Disorganized Community”
Conflict Perspective: – same as above, example: “One of the statements associated with Conflict Perspective”.
