Along with this job, I have to do an internship at an agency where I work as a personal shopper and my job is to assist other people in shopping for clothes, shoes, and other required accessories. I enjoy my job mostly, but sometimes, it becomes a burden because, by nature, I am a lonely person who likes to remain separated and speak very less. So, as I am not talkative, therefore, I, sometimes, do not like to listen to people when they are really mad and continue to speak uselessly.

I live in a nuclear family having my mom and me only. Previously, when I was very young, I used to live in an extended family in which, I had my grandparents, my uncle, aunt, and my father. At that time, I considered myself very happy and satisfied with my life. I was really confident. However, with the passage of time, my confidence shattered and I suffered through the loss of relatives. When I was five years old, my grandparents moved to the USA leaving my father, mother, and me to live in a nuclear family. At the age of twelve, I saw my parents getting separated after divorce due to which, I was left with my mother only. Before three years, I moved to the USA with my mother. The person who has affected my personality the most is my mother who has been with me since my birth. Her love for me cannot be ignored, as she has never left me on myself until now. She has accompanied me when no one was there for accompanying me.

When we moved back to the USA and I was to live with my grandparents for some time, I felt very lonely and strange among them because there was a gap of full fifteen years between my livings with my grandparents. It was a huge time and I was very uncomfortable. The USA, in itself, was a new place for me to exist as it is enough withdrawn from my native land. I was to exist in a new land with different values, customs, traditions, and cultures. A setting in diverse lands is not as easy as it appears. People are different, languages are different, cultures are different, in totality, it appears as if everybody around one is an alien.

A tragic natural disaster hit the country of Japan on the 11 march 2011. This tragic occurrence was analyzed to be the worst earthquake that had occurred in the history of the country and was highlighted to have set up alarms up till the United States and the South America. The earthquake was accompanied with a tsunami and resulted in a nuclear disaster in the country which was termed to have a higher severity than the Chernobyl nuclear event. These disasters not only hampered the infrastructure of the country but led to the displacement and deaths of thousands of people and resulted in great economic losses for the country (Japan — Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear Crisis 2011). The earthquake in Japan has been ranked as the fifth most powerful earthquake of the world since the twentieth century. The earthquake was of the magnitude of 9.0 on the Richter scale. The earthquake had the highest severity in the northeastern part of Japan. Twenty four thousand people lost their lives or were missing following the earthquake. The tsunami, that resulted due to the earthquake, led to the destruction and drowning of complete villages in the northeastern part of the country. It was estimated that more than 3,400 buildings in the country had undergone destruction and damage. The power supply across the major cities was disrupted and people had to survive with no electricity and gas. Fires erupted across the areas that were hit mainly in the industrial locations as well as in places where there were oil reservoirs meant for storing the oil. The severity and strength of the earthquake did not settle and 100 minor earthquakes followed within a short period. The communication network across the areas that were hit was also disrupted. Immediately following the earthquake, it was understood by the nuclear experts that the tsunami that had resulted due to the earthquake had posed risk of damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The chaos that had resulted has not led to provide for a complete analysis of the situation. But owing to the risk, hundred thousands of people were moved from the areas that were close to the nuclear power plants to avoid the adverse effects that could have resulted due to the radiations from the power plants. The combined national organizations and the forces of the country set to work to save the people and move them to safer locations. These included the people from the fire department, police department as well as the armed forces of the country (Dawson et al 2011. Japan — Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear Crisis 2011). The earthquake and the tsunami caused enough destruction and negative effects in Japan but the devastation in the country was aggravated by a nuclear breakdown and leakage that occurred in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The nuclear power station had been affected by the tsunami as well as the earthquake. The day following the earthquake hit the country, there was a first blast reported from the nuclear power plant. A letter of introduction – The C20th and the beginning of C21st saw a series of events like boom and bane phases in the economy, a series of wars especially two world wars and creation of peace in Asian countries like Afghanistan etc. As a US citizen my habits, customs have been as that of a true American citizen. Happiness simply implies being happy and there is no adequate definition to provide for it other than a feeling which brings enthusiasm and delight in one’s life and allows him to forget his worries and have a hefty laugh. “Happiness is the continued feeling or state of delight, contentment and joy emanating from the permanent sense of self goodness, goodness of life and goodness of man’s destiny” (Masri & Adam, n.d.). Peace in the world with less natural calamities is the most important thing which makes me happy. Other than that I am happy when I get fame in society, when I attain educational achievements, rank and position in society along with wealth which can buy for me all the latest technologies needed to make life simple. There have been a number of famous creative works like Midnight’s Children, The Lord of rings, Ulysses etc. and Shakespeare’s plays. But my favorite is ‘Virginia Woolf’s Orlando.’ I love this book because this book is a semi biographical novel and I love such novels which also provide a little detail about the life of the author. ‘Orlando’ was published in 1928 and a film has been based on this novel in the year 1992. This novel is highly influential because of the style of writing used especially when describing a women and the author was one of the most famous writers whose name has to be remembered in the years to come. New York’s Chrysler building is the most excellent piece of architecture that I love. It is the most excellent for both of its art as well as architecture and was also considered as the world’s tallest building at one point of time. The design, construction will be an attraction for all the times to be come and thus will be remembered in future. (Destination, n.d.). The most significant part of the C20th songs was that there were strong lyrics. I love the song ‘Every night in my dreams…….’ By Celine Dion from the movie Titanic because of its touching lyrics. Through this song the movie will be remembered for centuries to come. My most significant film again is Titanic because of the storyline taken from literature where a most peaceful and enjoyable journey ended in a disaster. The whole film i.e. direction, production and edition has been done by James Cameroon. Because of its utility, the mobile phones, invented in 1977 are the most popular gadgets and are the best invention without which one cannot imagine life to be moving in this era.
