Module assignment: Consider the following problem situation: You are caring for an elderly patient diagnosed with pneumonia. While in hospital, he has developed a stage II pressure ulcer and you are providing wound care as ordered by the physician. The current order is for DUODERM dressing every 3 days with saline for wound cleansing. The gentleman’s wife is concerned that leaving for three days will delay wound healing and cause complications.
