imperfect competitive

The essay should be 10-15 pages in length (double spaced, graphs and references extra;
start with an introduction, and provide references at the end); every topic related to
our class content is welcome. You might find an interesting topic by searching the
internet, or in a news magazine like the Economist; you can also present a model taken
from the scholarly literature, if your interest is more geared towards formal arguments.
Part of the challenge is finding an interesting topic, so please spend some time doing
your research. Here are some sample examples: How did Alipay change the financial
market in China? Why did Facebook buy Watsapp, and how does it work out? Why
does McDonalds use a combination of franchise stores and company stores? Why do
2
cell phone contracts look the way they do? How does the pandemic change the Airline
industry? In any case, when writing your paper, provide all references you are using in
a reference list at the end.
Please be aware that SFU encourages instructors to use cheating software to detect
plagiarism. Important note: I will grade your term paper based on the quality of its
content. Specifically, i will not penalize you for language imperfections that you may
naturally have as an ESL student.

hat is an issue currently facing the USMC as a whole and why is it a problem?

Writing Assignment: Any Issue
Write a 3-4 page paper based on the following writing prompt.  It should include the basic elements (intro and thesis, body, and conclusion) and use proper sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.

Writing Prompt :  What is an issue currently facing the USMC as a whole and why is it a problem? The issue does not have to be specific to the military (It can be a current contemporary issue that will impact the future force.)

**Be creative!  This topic is the chance for you to write an article to submit to Naval Institute or the Gazette.  Tell the readers something they have not heard before.

The magazines have monthly themes which can help direct the topics of your writing.  The following chart shows the themes for the upcoming year.  Writing on these themes does not guarantee publication, but it will allow you to write about topics that are relevant to you, but also in line with what they are planning to publish. Choose a topic for your own class as follows, but it doesnt have to be one of them, can be of any issue:

Innovation / Future War
Logistics / Installations
Irregular Warfare

Why, as a Marine leader of today and the one training the leaders of tomorrow, should you be concerned about this issue? What is the real problem it will create for future leaders or the USMC?  Do more than just describe the problem, you need to give analysis of the impact it will have.  (Remember, some issues will not impact you directly as a Marine, but you are currently charged with teaching/training/leading the Marines that it will.  What will todays corporal face as a sergeant major / master gunnery sergeant?)
Notes:
    Minimum length: 3-4 typed pages
Audience:  Professional, as if writing to CMC, CO, Director (use formal language and style)
Write in 3rd person (Write about them, not us; they, not we)
    Some things to consider:
o    Your paper needs to present an overall unified idea- or thesis, and then prove it.

Any topic (writer’s choice)

Use the appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least three (3) scholarly sources to support your claims. 1500 words minimum; answers must thoroughly address the questions in a clear, concise manner. Include a title page and reference page in APA style. The case studies are posted below along with the questions. Please combine all of these responses into a single document. I have attached the case studies under Document

Here is the link of the textbook we are currently using (its an older version I found online) if needed: https://studydaddy.com/attachment/142099/Legal-and-Ethical-Issues-in-Nursing-6th-Edition-B00DU64Q3S.pdf

Case Study 1

1.)    Read the case study presented at the end of Chapter 8 (Guido, p.133) which begins, The patient was hospitalized for extreme low back pain
Was there informed consent for the initial medications given to the patient?
How would you determine that informed consent had been given for the MRI and the medications needed for sedation for the test?
Was the informed consent deficient to the degree that there was a lack of informed consent for the patient for the second dose of medications?
How would you decide this case?

Case Study 2
2.)    Read the case study presented at the end of Chapter 9 (Guido, p. 150) which begins, Jimmy, a Floridian, has undergone two liver transplants.:
What questions would you anticipate the judge to ask Jimmy to ascertain his level of maturity, understanding of the full consequences of his lack of action, and possible alternative reasons for requesting that he be allowed to make his own medical decisions?
How should the judge evaluate the mothers response to her sons request?
Does the state of residency factor into the judges decision?
Are there additional issues that should be addressed prior to deciding the outcome of this case?
How would you decide the case?

Case Study 3
What do you do about the informed consent form?
    Who signs and why?
Using the MORAL model, decide the best course of action for Jimmy from an ethical  perspective rather than a legal perspective.
Now decide the best course of action based on a purely legal perspective.
Did you come to the same conclusion using both an ethical and a legal approach?
