Family involvement Plan

Description of the assignment: Identify a high-quality curriculum unit. A component of this curriculum unit may have an issue worthy of discussion by family members and teachers. The assignment should include the following components:

a) The rationale and importance of family involvement in childrens learning;
b) Describe how to share information about the unit with family members and involve them;
c) How to explain to parents the specific learning goals addressed in this unit?
D) Develop an activity that could extend information about the unit for family use at home or in the community.

The contents of this assignment include:
1. Introduction:
Address the importance of family involvement in childrens learning (illustrate with theories).

2. Main body:
Provide a description of the curriculum unit (you do not need to submit a lesson plan). Describe how to share information about the unit (at least 3 different methods) and Illustrate ways to articulate unit learning goals to parents.
Develop an activity that could extend information about the unit for the family and supports family members to play/work with their child at home. Sample of the work can be included in the appendix.
